Salvation is a gift from God that will enable you to spend eternity in Heaven. He offers the gift through Jesus, His Son.
By laying down His life on the cross, Christ took our place and paid the ultimate price, the penalty for our sin—death.
Jesus is our only way to God. Receiving the gift of salvation is not complicated.
Step #1
Admit you are a sinner and turn away from your sin. Acts 3:19 says: “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out.” Repent means ‘A change of mind that results in a change of action.’ You change your mind to agree with God that you are a sinner. The resulting ‘change in action’ is, of course, the turning away from sin. Believe Jesus Christ died on the cross to save you from your sins and give you eternal life. John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” Come to him by faith. In John 14:6 Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” Continue to step 2 it will be the best decision you ever made!
Step #2
In prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. Pray using your own words – there is no special formula. If you just don’t know what to pray, here is a Prayer of Salvation you can pray: Dear Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself. I am sorry and I repent. I ask you to forgive me. I believe that You died on the cross for me, to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to You now and ask You to take control of my life. I give it to You. Help me to live every day in a way that pleases You. I love You, Lord, and I thank you for forgiving my sin and giving me the gift of eternal life with you. Amen.
God’s Word says ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved’. Romans 10:13
Step #3
In order for your new personal relationship with God to grow we encourage you to:
Spend some time each day praying and worshipping God ( I Thessalonians 5:17-18).
Read the Bible daily – begin with the Gospel of John (1 Peter 2:2).
Find a church that teaches the Bible as 100% the Word of God and encourages a personal relationship with Jesus (Hebrews 10:25). Join us for a service and see if we are a good fit for your family, we'd love to have you!
Begin to develop friendships with sincere Christians and be baptized ( 1 John 1:7, Romans 6:4).
Tell other people about your new relationship with God (Matthew 4:19).
